Mr. Sherrill W. Giles, 81, of Angier died Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Wake County Hospice Home in Raleigh. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late John William and Mattie Hawley Giles.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel in Lillington with Rev. Timmy Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home and other times at the home.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances Giles of the home; daughter, Carol Manning and husband Harold of Lillington; son, Jimmy Giles and wife Vickie of Fuquay-Varina; 3 grandchildren, Robbie Phelps, Tonya Whitley and Tony Giles; 5 great-grandchildren, Hunter Pleasant, Kaylee Whitley, Taylor Giles, Mandy Lynn Giles and Josh Giles.
