Lillington

Sheila Gilchrist Ray, 63 of Lillington passed away Wednesday November 7, 2012.

Sheila was the daughter of the late Bryant and Blondell Gilchrist. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Mike Ray.

Mrs. Ray was the owner of Hair Pros in Sanford. She was very active in her community and helped with any fundraiser or political events.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Saturday November 10, 2012 at Antioch Baptist Church, with Rev. David Anderson, Martin Groover and Terry Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 11-1 pm at the church prior to the service.

The family will also receive friends at the residence of Lisa Spitzer.

Mrs. Ray is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa Ray Spitzer and husband Jason of Lillington; and Marsha Ray Thomas and husband Brian of Lillington, 1 sister, Phyllis Lambert; 2 grandchildren, Darian Sheila Thomas and Jaylyn Ray Spitzer.
