SFC(Ret.) Miles Andrew Jordan, 69, of Fuquay-Varina, passed away Saturday September 4, 2021, at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC.

He was born May 24, 1952, in Laurinburg, NC to the late Joyce Woodside Jordan and William "Buddy" Jordan.

SFC Jordan served his country honorably as a soldier in the U.S. Army. He went on to pursue a career with the North Carolina Department of Corrections until his retirement. SFC Jordan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting,  and softball. He attended Crossroads Church in Lillington. Most of all, he cherished the memories shared with his loving family and his faithful sidekick, Barnabas.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Bonnie Sessom Jordan; his two sons, Andy Jordan and wife Tricia of Lillington and Phillip Jordan of Sanford; his grandchildren, Kyle Jordan, Michael Jordan, Ian Jordan, Elisa Jordan, Gabriel Jordan, Olivia Jordan, and Luke Jordan; and his brothers, Al Jordan and wife Gloria and Jackie Jordan and wife Catherine.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday September 9, 2021 at 2PM at Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC. The family will hold a public memorial service at a later date.
