Ruth McNeill 92 of Broadway died Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at her home.

Ruth was born September 17, 1923 in Harnett County to the late Malcom Bright and Fannie Black Byrd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve McNeill; 2 brothers, Clyde and Elbert Lee Byrd; 2 sisters, Alda B. Collins and Lois B. Jackson.

Ruth was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and retired from Coty. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved her family friends, church family and the Lord.

Ruth is survived by 2 sons, Leverne McNeill and wife Martha of Glendon and Roy McNeill of Lillington; 3 daughters, Judy Angell and husband Bobby of Broadway, Janet Black and husband Gary of Raleigh and Jean Holder and husband Gene of Lillington; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 6, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Broaddus and Rev. Mike McVey officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 P.M. Friday in the fellowship hall at Antioch Baptist Church, and other times at the home. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
