Mrs. Ruth S. Hallman, 90, of Lillington passed away Sunday November 10, 2019 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Will Stephens and Mattie Whittington Stephens. Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clawson W. Hallman; brothers, Lester, Craven, Elbert "Big Boy" and Edward Stephens and sisters, Beulah, Vera, Hazel and Kathleen. She was a life long member of Antioch Baptist Church and supervised the Meals on Wheels program for the Mamers community. Ruth's passion was working in her yard and keeping the pine cones picked up. She loved making everyone feel special. Ruth never met a stranger and loved everyone.

Ruth is survived by her son, Tony Hallman of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Michelle Hallman of Clayton; brother, Billy Stephens of Sanford; special "daughters", Angela Thomas of Broadway and Iris Tutor of Fuquay-Varina; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday November 14, 2019 at Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers with Pastor Rick Beacham and Pastor Robbie O'Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 1:00-1:45 PM.
