Mrs. Ruby Cameron Griffin, 90, of Lillington passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, at her home. She was born in the Old Boone Trail School, the daughter of the late Neill Alex and Flarie Wood Cameron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Griffin; brothers, Roy Cameron and Neill Alex "N.A." Cameron, Jr.; sister, Edna Rogers.

Ruby was a lifelong member of Leaflet Presbyterian Church. She worked with Harnett County Schools for many years as a Kindergarten teacher's assistant. Ruby loved gardening, both vegetables and flowers. She referred to her yard as her "happy place." Ruby also loved cooking for others and giving away sweet potato pies to let people know she cared. She was an expert seamstress making everything from clothing to curtains. Ruby also made christening and wedding gowns.

Ruby is survived by her son, Terry Griffin of Lillington; daughter, Molly Griffin Pope and husband Carter Pope, Jr. of Lillington; granddaughter, Glynn Pope of Lillington; sisters, Thelma Cameron of Belhaven, and Gaynelle Rosser of Sanford; brother, David Cameron of Clinton; many special nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Leaflet Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Douglas Currin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
