Mrs. Ruby Muriel Lloyd Darroch, 96, of Lillington passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. She was born in Johnston County, the daughter of the late Frank and Pattie Barbour Lloyd. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Darroch, daughter, Marie Dove, sons, James "Loyd" and Alvin Darroch and grandson, Ricky Darroch. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Colville, Corrina Smith, Eva Lucas, Lizzie Lockamy, brothers, Zek, Edgar and William Creech, Wade, Crosby and Wilbur Lloyd. Ruby was a lifetime member of Flat Branch Presbyterian Church and loved every member of the congregation. She loved gardening, canning, freezing and making homemade preserves.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Flat Branch Presbyterian Church in Bunnlevel with Rev. Bertrand Pitchford officiating. Burial will follow in Barbecue Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home.

Ruby is survived by her son, Wade H. Darroch and wife Shirley of Fuquay-Varina, daughters-in-law, Mamie Jo Darroch of Lillington and Johnsie Darroch of Broadway, 8 grandchildren, Mitch, Diane, Kelley, Kristal, Charlene, Suzanne, Malissa, Debbie, 16 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Lula Lloyd of Erwin and many nieces and nephews.
