Mrs. Ruby McLeod Biggs, 95, of Buies Creek died Friday, September 28, 2012 at the E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. She was born in Moore County, the daughter of the late Theophilus and Annie Holland McLeod. Mrs. Biggs worked for the Lillington Chamber of Commerce for many years. She was a member of the Buies Creek First Baptist Church. Mrs. Biggs was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grayson Biggs; brother, T.H. McLeod and daughter-in-law, Phyllis Jernigan.

Graveside service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Buies Creek Cemetery with Dr. Michael Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

She is survived by son, Peter G. Jernigan, Sr. of Fayetteville, son, Scott M. Jernigan and wife Brenda of Lillington, three grandchildren, Tami J. Nettles, Peter G. Jernigan, Jr. and Scott A. Jernigan; five great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Lucille Dean of Wilmington, Ann Windell of Ft. Mill, SC, Hester Smith of Lynn Haven, FL and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Buies Creek First Baptist Church Cemetery Fund; PO Box 160; Buies Creek, NC 27506.
