Mr. Roy Rogers Gainey, 62, of Lillington passed away Thursday May 16, 2019 at his home. Roy was born in Harnett County. He worked in construction for many years. Roy enjoyed collecting coins and other collectible items. He was preceded in death by his father, Ander Gainey and brother, Danny Ray Gainey.

Roy is survived by his mother, Mary Carter Gainey of the home; sister, Jean Boggs and husband Jimmie of Lillington; 2 nieces, Candy Adams and husband Dewey of Georgia and Kimberly Boggs of Lillington; nephew, Steven Boggs of Lillington; 3 great-nephews and a great-niece.

The family will receive friends at Roy's home, 7559 Old US 421 Lilllington, NC 27546, Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 4:00-9:00 PM.
