Obituary

Mr. Ronnie Jones Womack, 76 of Lillington, passed away on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, at Duke University Hospital. He was born on March 21, 1950, to the late Clyde and Mabel Womack.

Ronnie spent 44 years working at Champion Homes. Music was one of his greatest passions, and through it he made friendships that lasted a lifetime. He treasured time with his family and found joy in the simple things, especially being outdoors and mowing the yard. Ronnie and Kim loved their trips to the beach, where they made many special memories. He was a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church and sang in the choir for many years. Ronnie never met a stranger, his warm smile and friendly nature made everyone feel welcome. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

He is survived by his wife Kim Womack; Son Robbie Womack (Shannon); Stepson Brad Sheffield; Stepdaughter Kelli Johnson (Josh); Sisters Jo Ann Daniels (Jess) and June Wallace (Eddie); Brother E.J. Womack (Dottie); Grandsons Landen, Hudson, and Nash Womack; Granddaughter Alex Johnson, many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 8, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. - 1:45 P.M. at Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers. A funeral service will follow in the sanctuary at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Todd Moore officiating. Burial will conclude in the church cemetery.
