Mr. Ronnie Eugene "Gene" Gregory, 72, of Lillington, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Gene was a 1966 graduate of Boone Trail High School.  He earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Science from CCTI.  He worked for 50 years in the textiles industry.

He was an avid musician and photographer.  He loved to sing, and people loved to hear his sweet voice.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at 2 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. James Taylor presiding.  The burial will follow at Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Gene was preceded in death by his father, Willard A. Gregory; mother, Lula Mae Gregory; and dear friend, Dannie McNeill, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Gregory; two sons, Christopher Eugene Gregory and wife Kellie of Erwin and Terry Lynn Gregory and wife Christina of Lillington; four grandchildren, Damian Gregory, Trenton Gregory, Katelyn Gregory and Christen Gregory; 1 great-granddaughter, Emerly Gregory; brother, Bobby Lawson of Broadway; sister, Judy Patterson of Mamers; and lifelong friend, Allen Howington of Lillington.

Friends are invited to visit the funeral home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm to pay their respects to Mr. Gregory.  The family will not be present at this time.

Memorials may be made to the Falcon Children's Home, Inc.
