Obituary

Mr. Ronald Howard Morrison, 76, of Lillington died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at his home. He was born in Lee County, the son of the late John Howard Morrison and Mamie Lee Rogers. Mr. Morrison was also preceded in death by his sister, Orene Perez and ex-wife, Lois Morrison Douglas. He graduated from Lillington High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College. Mr. Morrison was a veteran of the US Army from 1955-1959. He enjoyed playing drums in the 1970's in the band "Wild Thing", weightlifting, bicycling and in his retired years golfing and surfing the net. Ronald was a wonderful, loyal father that Yvonne loved so very much. His dry sense of humor was one of his best traits. A daughter's love will always be with her daddy and may the angels of heaven surround him now in peace.

Mr. Morrison is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Morrison Jones and husband Donnie of Manvel, TX; granddaughters, Dana Jones, Lea Montgomery and her husband Joe and his great-granddaughter, Saylor Montgomery; sister, Betty Ann Johnson of Lillington and brother-in-law, Joe Perez of Lillington and nieces and nephews.
