Mr. Roger "Burt" Nordan, age 84, of Erwin died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late William S. and Virginia Burch Nordan. Mr. Nordan was a US Army veteran. He worked as an automobile mechanic for Brock Chevrolet and the NC DOT for many years. Mr. Nordan was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Evelyn D. Lee of Supply.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel in Lillington with Pastor Wanda Bayles officiating. Burial will be in Westview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM.

He is survived by his wife, Lunette Smith Nordan of the home; step-daughter, Carolyn D. West and husband Jim of Lillington; step-son, Buck Dean and wife Brenda of Lillington; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
