Roger Lanier Bain, 79, of Bunnlevel died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Betsy Johnson Hospital.

Roger was born March 5, 1936 to the late Edwin Daniel and Cleo Lanier Bain. Roger was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Bain; and a sister, Lois Britt.

Roger retired from the Department of Transportation. He enjoyed working with his family on the farm, hunting and fishing.

A funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Flat Branch Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mike Armistead officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Roger is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Bain of Bunnlevel; 2 sons, Mike Bain and wife Sonya of Hampstead and Phil Bain and wife Stephanie of Youngsville; a brother, Hugh Bain and wife Dorothy of Lillington; 2 sisters, Muriel Sharpe of Greenville and Jewel Chambers and husband Finley of Raleigh; 2 grandchildren, Noah Bain and Amanda Mills.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Flat Branch Presbyterian Church, 130 Darroch Road, Bunnlevel NC 28323 or a charity of ones choice. A funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M.
