Mr. Robert Lee Moore, age 88, of Lillington died Monday, December 20, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born in Harnett County on June 18, 1922 to the late Robert Dawsey and Alma Coats Moore. Mr. Moore attended Old Fashion Independent Baptist Church in Broadway.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Buddy, David and Bill and three sisters, Jennie Bell, Louise and Madeline. Mr. Moore was also preceded in death by his children, R.L. Moore, Ruby Klauka and Johnny Smith.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel. Service officials will be the Rev. Robert Davis and the Rev. George Stanley. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Dunn.

Visitation will be held at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm. Ann's Flowers of Lillington (910-893-9192) is serving the family.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Annie Smith Moore of the home; five sons, Odell Patterson and wife Anne of Wilmington, Terry Patterson and wife Gwen of Lemon Springs, Ronnie Moore of the home, Robin Moore and wife Pam of Mamers and Willie Moore of Broadway; three daughters, Bonnie Ward and husband Victor of Cameron, Mary Moore Barbour and husband David of Sanford and Alma Moore Leonard of Dunn; 41 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
