Angier

Robert Lenior Corbin, 82, of Angier passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at his residence.

Robert was born December 12, 1932 in Jackson Co to the late Irvin Preaulo and Alda Pressley Corbin. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Gardner Corbin; his son, Ronald "Ronnie" Craig Corbin; 2 brothers, Frank and Edmund Corbin.

Robert was a member of the Army from 1953-1956 in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort. Bragg. After the Army he made his home in Harnett Co and that's when he married Ruby. Robert worked as a master carpenter until he retired. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a strong faith and loved the Lord, his family and friends.

Robert is survived by 2 daughters, Rhonda Gail Corbin Wade and husband Cloid and Kimberly Corbin Deyton and husband Dave both of Fuquay-Varina, NC; 4 sisters, Katherine Monteith, Lorena Beasley, Mary Allen and Donna Houston all of Cashiers, NC; 2 brothers, Philip Corbin of Washington and George Corbin of SC; 5 grandchildren, Kyle, Elaine, Travis, and William Wade, Wesley Deyton; 3 great grandchildren, Cylie, Evelyn and Creedence Wade.

A Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday December 18, 2014 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel, Lillington NC. Burial will follow at Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the funeral home.
