Mr. Robert "Bob" James Bernett, 85, of Lillington passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. He was born in Pennsylvania and resided in Lillington for 45 years. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from BAE Systems in 2008. Bob was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Donald Flowers, grandson, Michael Webb and 2 sisters, Anna Venuto and Betty Demidow.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Ruthann Bernett of the home; 4 daughters, Cheryl Flowers of the home, Donna Smith and husband Charles of Peletier, NC, Jennifer Bridges and fiancé Jessie Bizzell of Lillington, Michele Blegen and husband Dana of Lillington; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Konitsky of New York; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the home. No formal service will be held per Bob's request.
