R.L. Pryor, Jr. age 80, of Buies Creek died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Rex Hospital. He was a native of Harnett county, the son of the late Robert Lacy Pryor, Sr. and Hattie Ennis Pryor. He was a farmer in his early years and enjoyed working in the cabinet business for the past 25 years. He was preceded in death by his sister Dot Pryor.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 am in the O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel, Lillington, NC. Dr. Rick Jefferds will officiate and Rev. Randy Barker will provide special music.

Burial will be at Pleasant Union Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 27, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 PM at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home.

Mr. Pryor is survived by his wife Jean Pryor of the home; two sons: Ronnie and wife Beth Pryor of Erwin, Rusty and wife Vivian Pryor of Buies Creek; granddaughters: Christina and husband Jeremy Worthington of Goldsboro, Michele Pryor of Buies Creek, Lauren Pryor of Buies Creek, Julia Galvan of Buies Creek; grandsons: Dylan and wife Cassie Pryor of Southport, Jamie Gilbert of Buies Creek; sisters: Nancy and husband Bunn Bennett of Kinston, Joyce Stewart of Buies Creek; great grandchildren: Spencer Worthington, AJ Galvan, Keegan Gilbert, Lori Pryor, Dominic Pryor; and a niece Marilyn and husband Larry Buie of Buies Creek
