Mr. Ricky "Rick" L. Lucas, 59, of Lillington passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Lonnie F. Lucas and Betty L. Lucas. He was a graduate of Erwin High School and Central Carolina Community College. Rick retired from the Harnett County School System Bus Garage after 36 years of service. After retirement, Rick enjoyed helping friends and family with various projects. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2016 at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway with Dr. Michael Simmons and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church multipurpose building Monday from 1:00-2:45 PM.

Rick is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sharon Stewart Lucas of the home; 2 sons, Brent Lucas of Raleigh and Eric Lucas of Lillington; sister, Donna Avery and husband, David of Erwin; brother, Randy Lucas and wife, Karin of Sneads Ferry.
