Mr. Richard E. Eymer, 68, of Dunn passed away Monday, May 9, 2022. He was born in Norfolk, VA, the son of the late Richard L. and Doris Johnson Eymer. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Eymer. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. Richard loved spending time with family, especially his grandsons, Branden and Brayden.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Randal Eymer of Clayton; 2 grandsons, Branden and Brayden Eymer; brother, Thomas Eymer of Missouri; sister, Victoria "Vicky" Peterson of Wisconsin; nieces and nephews; stepson, Kenneth Dowdy of Lillington; 2 stepdaughters, Connie Simmons of Colonial Heights, VA, Bobbie Cook of Gloucester, VA; several step grandchildren; step great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Westview Cemetery in Lillington with military honors. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
