Mr. Richard Lee Dye, 69, of Erwin died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Universal Healthcare in Lillington. He was born in Augusta, GA, the son of the late Lee and Lois Jones Dye. Mr. Dye was a veteran of the US Navy and worked as a paint contractor for over 25 years.

Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel, Lillington with Rev. Paul Jones, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, and other times at the home.

Mr. Dye is survived by his wife 25 years- Sue White Dye of the home. Special daughter- Melody Robinson of Rockingham. Son- Shane Brandon Dye of Ahoskie. Daughter- Crystal Lois Dye of Ahoskie. Step-son- Michael Gay, Jr. of Willow Spring. Several grandchildren. Sister- Priscilla Arnold of Fredericksburg, VA
