Rev. Richard R. Lee, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away, Monday, September 25, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.

Rev. Lee was born August 31, 1948 in Cumberland County to the late Jesse and Alice Lee.  He was a Vietnam veteran of the US Army, retiring with over 23 years of service.  Following his military service, he pursued his calling to serve God as a minister.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Louise Lee; and brother, Charles Ray Lee.

Rev. Lee is survived by his daughter, Tammy Lee Guy (Hubert); step-daughter, Tina McKinnie; sister, Patsy Reece (Glenn); brothers, George Lee (Dianne), John C. Lee, and Donnie Lee (Sally); grandchildren, Richard, Jessica, Brandy, and Ella; step-granddaughter, Lindsee; great grandson, Jackson.

A funeral service will be held 3pm Saturday, September 30, 2023 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 1310 S. Main St., Lillington, NC 27546.  Burial will follow the service at Westview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 2pm – 3pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
