Mr. Ray "Bud" McCauley, 77 of Lillington died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Rex Health Care in Raleigh. A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late Jim and Florence Thomas McCauley. He was preceded in death by a son, Robbin McCauley and 8 brothers and sisters. Bud was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean Conflict and attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Saturday, March 24, 2012 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel with Rev. Robbie O'Quinn officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Faye McCauley; daughters, Pat Thomas and husband Gary of Broadway and Tammy McCauley of Sanford; sons, Jeffrey McCauley and wife Kelly of Lillington, Steve Blaney McCauley and wife Debra of Lillington; sisters, Lola McNeill of Lillington, Betty Farrar of Lillington, Eunice Worrell of Sanford; five grandchildren, Steve McCauley, Robin McCauley, Heather Thompson, Nicole McCauley, Christy McCauley; 6 great-grandchildren.
