Mr. Randall Glenn Farmer, 63, of Broadway passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at his home. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late John Farmer and Della King Farmer. In addition to his parents, Randall was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Farmer and Rodney Farmer and brother-in-law, Don Malone and nephew, Addison Malone.
Randall was a simple man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed going to the state farmer's market with his parents, selling sweet corn and strawberries. Randall was a devoted son and caretaker for his parents. Randall loved to fish, especially on the family farm in Duplin County. He had a contagious sense of humor that made everyone smile. Randall shared a special bond with his niece, Angelina Farmer.
Randall is survived by his mother, Della King Farmer of Broadway; 3 sons, Dale Farmer and wife Taylor of Lillington, Michael Farmer of Myrtle Beach, SC, Robbie Arnold and wife Abbey of Lillington; 2 daughters, Brandy Murphy and husband, Sedric of Sanford and Niki Arnold of Sanford; 11 grandchildren, Zoey, Chloe, Cameron, Addison, Rhylan, Carter, Kayla, Peyton, Dakota, Joey and Chloe; 2 sisters, Rhonda Malone of Pfafftown, Laura Farmer of Broadway; 2 brothers, Moses Farmer and wife Melanie of Lillington and Laurance Farmer and wife Traci of New Bern; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway and other times at the home of Della Farmer. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the church with Rev. Scott Yow and Rev. Wayne O'Quinn officiating. Family and friends attending are encouraged to wear flannel shirts and jeans.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565.
