Mr. Ralph James Dean, 87, of Fuquay-Varina passed away Wednesday December 20, 2017 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late William H. and Elizabeth Matthews Dean. Ralph loved woodworking and watching NASCAR with his 2 very special neighbors. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Ralph is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 23, 2017 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel in Lillington with Rev. Jimmy Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Light Christian Church Cemetery in Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00-10:45 AM.
