Mr. R. Glen Spence, 83, of Fuquay-Varina passed away Sunday February 6, 2022. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Avery and Bessie Smith Spence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Allen Spence and Dwight Spence; sister, Lois Wood and brother-in-law, Rees Anderson.

Glen is survived by 3 sisters, Shirley Anderson, Judy Avent and husband James, Pat Dean all of Fuquay-Varina; several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM to pay their respects to Mr. Spence. The family will not be present during this time. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Kennebec Baptist Church Cemetery in Angier.
