Peggy Alease Bennett Jarrell, 86 of Lillington died Monday, July 18, 2016 at Central Harnett Hospital.

Peggy was born May 16, 1930 in Harnett Co. to the late J.G. and Lula Bennett. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lloyd Jarrell and 13 siblings.

Peggy was a member of Overhills Community Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joys were holidays with family. She loved to cook and enjoyed traveling.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home with Lenny Logan officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Peggy is survived by a son, Tommy Jarrell and his wife Linda; two daughters, Peggy Ann Jarrell Garner and husband Larry and Brenda Jarrell Atkins and her husband Donnie; a sister, Magdalene Wood; a brother, Nelson Bennett and wife Betty; 5 grand children; 3 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; She also leaves behind lots of loved nieces and nephews and a cherished friend who she loved like a son, Lenny Logan.
