Pearl B. Matthews, 95, of Lillington, NC, passed away, Monday, June 12, 2023 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC.

Pearl was born January 15, 1928 in Wake County, NC to the late Robert William Buffkin and Maggie Bass Buffkin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Matthews; sons, William Preston Matthews, Jr., and William Ray Matthews.

Pearl is survived by her son, Wesley Matthews and wife, Benita; daughters, Cynthia Widman, and Nancy Davis; eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 3pm Friday, June 16, 2023 at Pleasant Union Christian Church Cemetery, 2164 Neills Creek Road, Lillington, NC 27546.
