It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Paul Worth Salmon, Sr. , 73, of Raleigh. He went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 11, 2011. He was born in Harnett County, August 13, 1938, son of the late William Henry and Ella Godwin Moore Salmon. He was preceded in death by 21 brothers and sisters. Mr. Salmon was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers. After attending Lillington High School, he joined the U.S. Navy. Mr. Salmon later barbered at Fort Bragg. He then worked at Inland Express Lines Trucking. In his later years, Paul opened his Northridge Barber Shop in Raleigh. Paul was a friend to all who knew him and never met a stranger. He loved his family and his barber shop. He loved gatherings of friends and family. Because of his love for gospel and bluegrass music, he opened Paul's Place and enjoyed many other musical places. Paul also loved gardening at home and at his barber shop. Being a cancer survivor, he truly believed in living life to the fullest.

Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Monday, November 14, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church, Mamers with Rev. Dan Deaton and Russell Capps officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
