Patricia S. McDonald, 56 of Lillington died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at her home. A resident of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late John Lewis and Frances Brown Sloan. Patricia worked as a United States Postal employee for over 23 years, retiring as Postmaster of the Coats Post Office. She was an active member of Raven Rock Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as working on the farm and caring for her many pets.

Funeral service will be held at Raven Rock Presbyterian Church, Lillington on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Pat Fletcher officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 pm and other times at her home.

Survivors include her husband Danny McDonald Sr.; two sons: Dan McDonald, Jr. and his wife Amy of Broadway, Brad McDonald and his wife Melanie of Delray Beach, Fl.; two sisters: Malynda Mize and husband Jim of Broadway, Pamela Backlund and husband Bob of Sanford; one brother: Tim Sloan and wife Dee of Carthage; three grandchildren: Kadan Blane McDonald, Chloe Kathrine McDonald, Lyla Simone McDonald and soon to be granddaughter, Bella Sloan McDonald.
