Ms. Ora Womack, age 89, of Broadway died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Oak Haven Rest Home in Sanford. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late James Atlas and Menola Buchanan Womack. Ms. Womack was preceded in death by her sisters, Valeria Garrett and Rosa Carter, brothers, Kimrey Womack, Garner Womack, Lee Womack and Edsel Womack.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway with Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at the home of Jean and Jerry Godfrey.
She is survived by nephew, Sheron Womack of Asheboro, nephew Nathan Womack of Broadway,
nephew James Womack and wife Ann of Broadway,
nephew Ben Womack and wife Deborah of Sanford,
niece Glenda Womack of Broadway, niece Judy O'Quinn and husband Ralph of Cameron, niece Jean Godfrey and husband Jerry of Broadway, niece Lora Ann Kelley and husband Roger of Sanford.
