Nellie Maxine Patterson, 92, of Broadway went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born on August 5, 1928 in Lee County, the daughter of the late Gladys Lett of Sanford NC. Maxine married the love of her life, James Laten Patterson on July 27, 1945. They were married for 67 years until his death on October 4, 2012. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and long-time member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway, NC.

Maxine is survived by her brother Lux Lett of Sanford and 6 children; James M. (Mike) Patterson and wife Linda of Broadway, Robert A. Patterson and wife Kathy of Stanley, Gary W. Patterson of Huntersville, Timothy C. (Tim) Patterson Sr. and Judy of Broadway, Ann Patterson Bost and husband Danny of Broadway and Maxine Jan Patterson of Broadway. Maxine was blessed with 10 grandchildren; Cindy, Nick, Michelle, Jaimie, Adam, Christie, Timothy, Josh, Ashton, Taylor and 14 great grand-children.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 7th at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Broadway, NC with Rev. Scott Yow officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church, 385 Holly Springs Church Rd., Broadway, NC 27505.
