Nellie McCauley Dickens, 93 of Broadway, died Saturday, December 25 at Parkview Retirement Center in Sanford.
A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas M. and Alice Wilson McCauley. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Winfield Dickens; a daughter, Frances Buchanan; sons, Thomas M. Dickens and William Winfield Dickens, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at Cool Springs United Methodist Church, Broadway on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 3:00 pm, with Rev. Ramon Atkins officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm in the church fellowship hall, other times at the home of Alice Dickens.
Survivors include her daughter, Alice Dickens of Broadway; a sister, Mary Womack of Broadway; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
