Nancy Sue Dennis, 53 of Mamers passed away Friday, August 23, 2014 at Sentara RMS Medical Center in VA.
Nancy Sue was born in Lee Co. to the late Felton Lewis and Nancy Jane Edwards Dennis. Her mom died at any early age and she was also preceded in death by her step-mother Catherine Dennis. Nancy Sue was also preceded in death by her son's father, James "Jim" Galen Landis and a brother, Donald Bryant.
Nancy Sue is survived by her partner, Paul Roberts and his children, Michael Ray Roberts and Jeremy Wayne Roberts all of Asheboro NC; Nancy Sue's 4 children, Amanda Jane Dennis Carter-Moore and husband Justin of Dallas, TX, Christa "Lynn" Fisher of Buena Vista, VA, Wendy Sue Fisher of Mamers NC, and Johnathan Galen Landis and wife Dena of Greenville NC; a brother, Butch Dennis of Mamers, 2 sisters, Kathy Bryant and Cindy Ingram of Mamers; grandchildren, Richard Craig "CJ" Carter (Kendell Victoria Ledford) and Jo Hanna Grace Carter, Vanessa Paige Moore, Eric Wayne King, Katelynn Nicole Fisher, and Ervin Edward Sloan III, Dustin Brittan Fisher, Dillon Faircloth, Sarah Ruth Faircloth and Michael Fredrick McLucas and Jayden Galen Landis; Faye Landis, Johnathan Landis step-mother and special friend, special friends, Autumn Landis, Heather Haynes and Emilie Rogers; and her daughter's fathers, Richard M. Rogers and Ernie Fisher, step-sister, Kathy Bryant Farmer and Cindy Bryant Ingram, 7 nieces and nephews
A celebration of life will be 5:30 P.M. Wednesday August 27, 2014 at Dennis Family Memorial Garden, 58 Sacred Lane Broadway, with Rev. Gabriel Landis officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 P.M. Wednesday at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home.
