Nancy Thomas Cameron, 76, of Clemmons, NC and formerly of Harnett County, NC passed away at home on August 23, 2013 after a long courageous fight with multiple illnesses.

Nancy was the daughter of the late Hiram and Cornelia Clark Thomas and Jessie Holloway Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Cameron, and by brothers Roy Thomas, Holloway Thomas and William Thomas, Sr. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Phyllis Anne Thomas and Betty Rogers; brother Branton Thomas; sons Taft Cameron (Faye); Thomas Cameron, Michael Cameron (Debbie); her grandchildren Neill Cameron, Sara Cameron Lahmann, Scott Cameron and Steve Adams; her two great grandchildren Thomas and William Lahmann; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A sincere thank you to special friends Jane and Ron Tucker; Pam and Todd Lowder; Vickie and Larry Kendrick; Brenda and Brian Carroll; Jerri Johnson; Debbie Younts; and two very special boys Nolan and Richard Loye.

Nancy was a 1955 graduate of Boone Trail High School and was retired from U.S. Airways, formerly Piedmont Airlines. She and her husband Roy travelled extensively. Nancy's favorite past time was being outside working in the yard. She was a wonderful sister, wife, mom, grandparent, aunt and friend. Nancy was a special friend to her 4 four-legged friends, Smokey, Danny, Buddy and Carly.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, August 26, 2013 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel in Lillington with Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00-1:00 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Hospice & Palliative Carecenter, Winston-Salem, NC or to the Forsyth Humane Society, Winston-Salem, NC or to the charity of your choice.
