Mrs. Nadine Bass McCauley, 76, of Lillington passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Nadine was born in Harnett County on February 10, 1947, the daughter of the late Roy Elbert and Lila Katherine Turlington Bass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dougald G. "Doug" McCauley; sister, Donnie and brother, Stanley.

Nadine was a long-time member of Harmony Baptist Church in Bunnlevel. She enjoyed spending time with family and spoiling her grandkids. Nadine was a spirited lady that loved life to the fullest.

Nadine is survived by four daughters, Lisa Byrd and husband, Tommy, of Linden, Renee Cooley of Lillington, Heather Young of Lillington and Peggy Johnson of Lillington; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Suggs of Sanford, Jean Langdon of Lillington and Elaine Knowles and husband, Clyde of Florida; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 PM Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Tommy Honeycutt and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Lillington.
