Mrs. Evelyn Coore Patterson, age 98, of Bracey, VA, formerly of Lillington, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her home. She was born in Harnett Co., the daughter of the late George Grayson Coore and Rebecca Womack Coore. Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, James Ervin Patterson; daughter Betty Crossley; son, William Gordon Patterson and granddaughter, Gwen Patterson. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Southern Pines as a nurses aide and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Bunnlevel.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington with Barry P. Brady and Dallas Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles Friday from 7:00-9:00 PM.

She is survived by daughter, Elizabeth Brady and husband Earl of the home; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
