Mr. Ronald M. Tart, 69 of Lillington died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late Marvin and Westray Beasley Tart. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Tart, 2 infant daughters, Elizabeth and Dawn Tart; stepdaughter, Laura W. McLeod and 2 step grandchildren. Ronald was employed with Kelly Springfield in Fayetteville for 28 years before his retirement and also worked with Sherman Oil Company in Lillington. He was active with the Harnett and Johnston County Bee Keepers Clubs and also with the Sandhills Antique Tractor Club. Ronald was a charter member and current Board President of the Flatwoods Fire Department.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, March 18, 2012 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel with Rev. Timothy Eyring officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home, other times at his home. Tart; Sons, Lewis Edward Tart of the home; Ron Monroe Tart and wife Amanda of Raleigh; Grandson,Noah Harrison Tart; 6 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; Step Daughters; Kathy Honeycutt and husband Danny of Dunn; Beverly Stewart of Dunn Lynn Tyndall and husband Ray of Dunn; Sisters, Brenda Withers of Broadway and Gwen T. Sherman of Lillington; Brother,Quinn Tart of Lillington
