Mr. Lexie Dean, age 81, of Lillington died Friday, March 2, 2012 at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Ernest L. Dean and Ida Jane McDonald Dean. Mr. Dean was a carpenter by trade and was an avid hunter. He was preceded by his wife, Pearl Dean and two brothers, Cecil Dean and Ray Dean.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Ephesus Presbyterian Church in Lillington with Rev. Bertrand Pitchford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 2:00-3:00 PM and other times at the home of James and Pat Dean.

He is survived by two brothers, T.L. Dean of Lillington and James Dean and wife Pat of Lillington; several nieces and nephews.
