Mr. Joseph Gene “Nine†Smith's Obituary
Mr. Joseph Gene "Nine" Smith, 80, of Fuquay Varina died Wednesday, October 12, 2011. He was a native of Harnett County, the son of the late Prentiss and Lorena F. Smith. Mr. Smith was a farmer and enjoyed gardening. He was devoted to his family.
Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2011 at Christian Light Christian Church Cemetery in Fuquay Varina with Rev. William C. Spencer, Jr. and Rev. Jimmy Elliott officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Florie Blanchard Smith of the home, daughter, Donna S. Jones of Fuquay Varina, son, Phil Smith of Fuquay Varina, grandchildren, Joseph Ashley Jones and wife Skipper S. Jones, Terri Smith Barbour and husband Jamie, Joseph Christopher Smith and Brandon Smith, great-grandson, Dillion Barbour, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
