Mozelle Tingen Ligon, 96 of Lillington died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Universal Healthcare.

Mozelle was born March 26, 1920 in Harnett Co. to the late Raymond and Liller Ausley Spence. Mozelle was preceded in death by husbands, James M. Tingen, Jr. and H. Bernice Ligon; a son, James Larry Tingen; a great granddaughter, Vanessa Zembellas; 5 siblings, Oma, Clifton, Magdalene, Joseph and Jossie.

Mozelle was a member of Christian Light Christian Church but attended Summerville Presbyterian Church after moving to Lillington. She loved to cook and was excellent at it. She was very generous often bringing meals to friends, family and those in need.

Mozelle is survived by a daughter, Sandra Sexton and husband Kenneth of Lillington; 4 granddaughters, Catherine S. Knepper and husband Tim of Des Moines, IA, Jennifer T. Wood and husband Brandon of Willow Spring, Rebecca S. Sasser and husband Eddie of Raleigh and Melissa Tingen of Lillington; 7 great grandchildren, James and Frances Knepper, Ryan and Katelyn Wood, Ella and Nathan Sasser and Aiden Blaschak; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 27, 2016at Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery and other times at the home of Sandra and Kenneth Sexton.
