Melba "Grandmel" Wester, 73 of Raleigh died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Evada Willis Tart.

A graveside service will be conducted 2:30 pm Friday, December 13, 2013 at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:15 pm prior to the service at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home, other times at her home.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Connie Mack Wester. A son, Chris Wester of Durham. Sister, Hilda Garris of Garner. 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
