Maxine H. Broadwell, 88 of Fuquay-Varina died Friday, November 3, 2017 at Universal Health Care in Fuquay-Varina. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Dessie Brown Highfill of Wellington, Illinois and was preceded in death by her husband Raeford Broadwell and a son, Earl Arnold. Maxine was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Faye, Thelma and twin sister, Nadeen; 3 brothers, Otis, Nova and Charlie Highfill. She retired as an Administrative Assistant from Mudge and Honeycutt Insurance Agency in Fuquay-Varina and was a faithful member of Baptist Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Baptist Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends from 1:00—1:45 prior to the service in the church fellowship hall, other times at the home of Ray Arnold.

Maxine is survived by her son, Ray Arnold and wife Carolyn of Fuquay-Varina. Grandson, David Arnold and wife Jamie; granddaughter Hannah Arnold, all of Holly Springs; Great grandchildren, Annabelle and Noah Arnold, several nieces and nephews.
