Mr. Max William Parker, 65, of Erwin passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. He was born in Lee County, the son of the late Eldridge and Sarah Morrison Parker. Max was the owner/operator of MWP Vinyl Siding from 1980 until his death. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, dancing and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Oliver Parker and James "Jimmy" Alexander Parker.

Memorial service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Gary Buffkin officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at his home and the home of Tammy Weihl.

Max is survived his fiancée of 24 years, Rhonda Hutchison of the home, daughters, Tammy Parker Weihl and husband Edward of Bunnlevel, daughter, Christie Parker Canfield and husband Jason of Bunnlevel, 11 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home & Crematory, PO Box 266, Lillington, NC 27546 to assist with funeral expenses.
