Mrs. Mary Mitchell Ennis, 94 of Buies Creek died at her home on Sunday, June 10, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Ennis; 2 brothers, James R. Mitchell and Rev. C. Maness Mitchell. Mrs. Ennis retired from Campbell University where she worked in the Food Service Department and was a member of Coats United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Friday at Coats United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plains Methodist Church Cemetery, Buies Creek. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at O'Quinn Peebles Funeral Home, other times at her home.

She is survived by daughter: Lillian Silverthorne; Sons: Harry Ennis and wife Barbara; Alex Ennis, Robert Ennis and wife Paula, all of Buies Creek; Tim Ennis and wife Kelly of Angier. 8 Grandchildren: Deirdre MacArthur, Steven Ennis, Adrien Ennis, Allen Ennis, Geoffrey Ennis, Connor Ennis, Brittany Ennis and Jacob Ennis. 5 great grandchildren.
