Martha Nell Wimberly "Ma Marty" Vann, 82, of Lillington, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, June 28, 2018.

She was born November 17, 1935 in Harnett Co. to the late James Leo and Lena Maie Wimberly. She worked as a bookkeeper at Paul Bailey Chevrolet for 30 years. She was a member of the Lillington Home Demonstration Club having served as its vice-president.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11 am at O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Pope presiding. The burial will follow at Harnett Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank and Jimmy Wimberly; and sister, Pat Reeves.

She is survived by her husband 65 years, William A. "Son" Vann; 3 daughters, Terry Lynn Vann, Sheila Vann Byrd, husband Terry, and Kimberly Vann, all of Lillington; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Lee Brunson, Danielle Carmen Lee, Shawna Michelle Adams and Christy Nell Sterbenz-Lee; 6 great-grandchildren, Rullaman and Jordan Wellington, Riley and Chandler Adams, and Tate and Madyson Lee; sister, Faylene Brantley of Lillington; brother, Billy Wimberly and wife Judy, of Lillington; and sister-in-law, Janice Wimberly of Broadway.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, June 29, from 6 to 8 pm at O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home.
