Mr. Louis G. Upchurch, 93, of Buies Creek passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Dick and Sallie Mae Wallace Upchurch. Mr. Upchurch was a US Navy veteran. He worked as an electrician and plumber for many years. Mr. Upchurch was preceded in death by his wife, Ava Dudley Upchurch.

Funeral service will be 4:00 PM Friday, June 26, 2015 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Dale Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00-4:00 at the funeral home and other times at his home.

Mr. Upchurch is survived by his son, Danny Upchurch of Wilmington, son, Kenneth Upchurch and wife Kay of Buies Creek, daughter, Connie Little and husband William of Buies Creek, daughter, Jenny Carroll and husband Marshall of Wendell, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Helen Durst of Roxboro.
