Mrs. Loretta Patterson Worrell, 82, of Mamers passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023,  at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Joseph "Jody" and Rebecca Wallace Patterson. In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Worrell; brother, Joseph "Junior" Patterson.

Loretta is survived by her son, Walter Worrell and wife Patty; granddaughter, Arianna Skye Worrell; sister, Myrtle Oldham; nephew, Richard Patterson; niece, Deborah Stuttz; nephew, Ken Patterson; nephew, Greg Oldham; nephew, Mark Patterson and nephew, Jamie Patterson; 3 great nieces; 2 great nephews; 3 great-great nieces and 3 great-great nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Lillington with Rev. Harry Thomas officiating. A private burial will be held in the church cemetery.
