Mrs. Lois "Ma Ma" Pearl Allen, age 91, of Mamers died Monday, March 22, 2010 at Kingswood Nursing Center in Aberdeen. She was born in Johnston Co., the daughter of the late Elmon and Isabelle Parker Stanley. Mrs. Allen was a devoted mother whose greatest joy was home and family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margie Allen; two grandsons, Dennis Lloyd Brown and Randy Allen Newsome.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers with Rev. Martin Groover and Rev. Robbie O'Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30-1:45 PM at the church and other times at the home of Bobbie and Richard Newsome.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Brown and husband Weldon of Sanford, son, Jimmie Allen and wife Becky of Mamers, daughter, Bobbie Newsome and husband Richard of Mamers, grandson, Perry Brown and wife Kim of Sanford, granddaughter, Pamela Allen Sutton and husband Blaine of Sanford, great-granddaughters, Lindsey Brown, Jane Sutton, Rebekah Sutton all of Sanford, brother, Monroe Stanley of Garner.
