Mrs. Lisa Dawn Polson, 52, of Cameron passed away peacefully Monday September 28, 2020 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late James Michael and Linda Yarborough Waddell. In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by a special niece, Rachel. Lisa was the most loving wife, Mama, Nana and sister. She was compassionate, giving, and selfless. Lisa enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a woman of strong faith and is now rejoicing in her heavenly home.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Dennis Polson of the home; twin boys, Brandon Huggins (Chelsea) and Brent Huggins (Jessica); grandchildren, Faith Huggins, Kamrynn Huggins, Ty Huggins, Dalton Huggins; Piper Grace Huggins and one on the way; brother, Joey Waddell (Corrine); sister, Tammy Waddell Case; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Terry Beatty officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at the home.

In accordance with current North Carolina COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home requests that everyone in attendance practice social distancing and wear a face covering.
